How To Observe Your Child In The Montessori Environment

• Please remove your footwear before you enter the environment.
• Please maintain absolute silence in the environment.
• Do remember that this a place of work
• Please do not step on the mats.
• Please do not touch the materials.
• Please do not disturb the children either by talking to them or by touching the children or their materials.
• If the children talk to you, just smile and remain passive or tell them that you have come to watch their work.
• Please talk softly. Do not talk from a distance.
• Observe all the children in the environment, not particularly your own child.
• Please leave the place quietly, after you have finished your observation.
